Bills confirm: Moorman out, Powell in

The following is a news release issued by the Buffalo Bills regarding the release of punter Brian Moorman:

ORCHARD PARK, NY - The Buffalo Bills today announced that the team has released P Brian Moorman and signed free agent P Shawn Powell. In accordance with team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
 
Powell re-joins the team after being released prior to the regular season. The 6-4, 243-pound Florida State product signed with the Bills as an undrafted free agent following April's NFL Draft. Powell finished his collegiate career as the Seminoles' all-time leader with a 44.2 punting average (168-7,424) - the fifth-best average in Atlantic Coast Conference history.
