Lake Forest, Illinois-Matt Forte practiced with the Bears Wednesday creating more hope that he might be ready to play Monday in Dallas.

Forte has been battling an ankle injury since September 13th. He's taken several steps to try to speed up the healing process including spending time in a hyperbaric chamber.

Forte says he wants to play Monday. Lovie Smith isn't ready to give him the green light yet.

"He's got a long way to go still," said Smith Wednesday. "But he's making progress, and hopefully we can get him out there."
