Chicago, Illinios-Urlacher, Briggs and Peppers are the big names on the Bears defense. But the most productive member of that unit so far this season has been cornerback Tim Jennings.

"Tim Jennings has been outstanding," said Bears Coach Lovie Smith. "We talked about him in OTAs, training camp, preseason, and he's making plays."

Jennings leads the NFL in interceptions through three games with four. He's also deflected two other passes that were then intercepted by teammates. Jennings has improved considerably now in his seventh NFL season.

"If you want a player to get better, you ask h im, you give him things to work on," said Smith. "You have the ability to di it, I think it's a commitment thing. Tim made a commitment to improve his game."

Jennings four interceptions this season matches his career total.
