Packers Return to Practice Field to Prepare for Giants

By: WFRV - Green Bay
Updated: January 27, 2012

With heavy hearts, the Green Bay Packers returned to the practice field on Wednesday to prepare for Sunday's NFC Divisional Playoff game with the New York Giants.

The team did so without offensive coordinator Joe Philbin, who is with his family after the loss of his son Michael earlier this week.  Head coach Mike McCarthy was going to assume Philbin's duties this week, but the other offensive coaches convinced him that they should divide Philbin's workload up amongst themselves.

On the injury front, Greg Jennings, James Starks, and Bryan Bulaga were all full participants in Wednesday's practice, and they all should be ready to go Sunday.  Randall Cobb and Chad Clifton were both limited participants, but they appear to be on the field Sunday as well.
