Two major Super Bowl entertainment venues are taking shape in downtown Indianapolis.

The media got a sneak peek inside The Huddle, a shopping, dining and entertainment center in the old Nordstrom at Circle Centre Mall, and the NFL Experience, an interactive theme park at the Indiana Convention Center.

Workers at the NFL Experience laid down a near-regulation size turf football field Friday, roughly where the field of the RCA Dome once stood.

The indoor attraction will span more than 850,000 square feet and include interactive games, entertainment, attractions, football clinics and free autograph sessions from more than 100 NFL players.

"When you come to the NFL Experience, this is truly the NFL and the 32 teams that make up the NFL," said Bob Schultz with the NFL Experience. "It's all about bringing those teams and those activities to life. What you see on Sunday afternoon when you watch a game is going to come to life here."

Football fans will also congregate at The Huddle during Super Bowl week, where they can warm up, shop and eat.

The offerings include a warming area, 23,000 square feet of of retail space featuring Super Bowl and NFL merchandise, the End Zone Beer Garden and The Huddle After Hours Club, another downtown nightclub option.

Both attractions will be open to the public Jan. 27. The NFL Experience will run through Feb. 4. The Huddle will be open through game day, Feb. 5.

Tickets to the NFL Experience are $25 for adults and $20 for children 12 years old and younger. They can be purchased in advance by calling 866-TIX-4NFL, online at TicketMaster.com or at the Lucas Oil Stadium and Indiana Convention Center box offices.

Organizers said more tickets have been pre-sold to the NFL Experience in Indianapolis than in any other previous Super Bowl city.
