(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) Chiefs fans filled Hy-Vee in St. Joseph for a special appearance from hall of fame greats.

As part of the organization's 50-year celebration, the Kansas City Chiefs gave fans a chance to meet hall of famers Len Dawson and Bobby Bell.

"I was glad to meet them, they're legendary in this area," said Lonnie Ueligger

Ueligger waited more than an hour to secure autographs on his son's replica of the Vince Lombardi trophy.

"With this thing, everyone's kind of amazed by it, this is my boy's model, he made it in high school, he's 23 now," said Ueligger.

Over the years, Ueligger's son has managed to land more than thirty autographs from several Kansas City Chiefs.

"He's got Jamaal Charles, Scott Pioli, it's loaded with names, he's very proud of it," said Ueligger.

The Chiefs are celebrating fifty years in Kansas City and kicked off the celebratory tour in St. Joseph.

Fans were able to mingle with Chiefs Cheerleaders and KC Wolf. The first 200 received autographs from Dawson and Bell.

"This is something that we usually do when we were playing, you know we'd go around and sign autographs for the fans and give back to the fans," said Chiefs Hall of Famer, Bobby Bell.

Giving back to the fans and reminiscing about old times.

"Everything has changed in professional sports, look how big it is. Professional football is the sport," said Chiefs Hall of Famer, Len Dawson.

By the number of fans weeding through the aisles of Hy-Vee, the amount of support is unreal.

And though Ueligger's son couldn't make it, he trusted his dad to finish the job.

"I'm taking very good care of it, oh I will bring it back in one piece," said Ueligger.

The celebration tour is stopping in five cities across Kansas and Missouri.

Their next stop is on Tuesday, in Topeka.
