Bears Sign LeGree

LAKE FOREST, IL - The Chicago Bears signed S Mark LeGree to a one-year contract Monday and waived LB Ronnie Thornton. LeGree entered the NFL in 2011 as a fifth round pick (156th overall) of the Seattle Seahawks out of Appalachian State. The 6-0, 210-pound safety spent parts of the 2011 season on the practice squads of the Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers and New York Jets.

LeGree was a three-time first-team All-American (FCS) and two-time top-5 Buck Buchanan Award finalist (FCS national defensive player of the year) at Appalachian State, finishing his career with 22 interceptions in 53 games played.
