Bears High On Offense 9/11/12

Lake Forest, Illinois-The Bears know it's only been one game, but they don't believe that their 41 point outburst against the Colts was a fluke.
"It is a different energy in the locker room especially offensively," said Jay Cutler. "There's a different confidence in this group. But we have to be careful. We have only played one game."
This offense is nothing like the Bears offense that Cutler stepped into four years ago.
"You look at this team when I first got here from now, it's an evolution of players. It's a totally different group of guys," said Cutler.
The best evidence of the Bears new found explosiveness is this state from the Colts game. They have nine plays of 20 or more yards. Brandon Marshall led the way with nine receptions for 119 yards. At that pace he'd tie Marvin Harrison's NFL record of 144 receptions in a season. Can he keep that pace up?
"That would be hard to duplicate, but you've got to keep it in the back of your head," said Marshall. "It's something to work toward when you're catching the jugs before practice or getting some extra work."
"There's going to be teams that take him away, and we have to go to other guys, and we have to run the ball," said Cutler.
"We've got so many guys on this side of the ball that it can become anybody's day," said Marshall.
The Bears hope to see a lot of that offensive playmaking Thursday in what could be a shootout with the Packers.
"We've got to score points, and we've got to be explosive and
that takes big plays, a big chunk," said Cutler.
