The Bars defense had six sacks and two interceptions while holding the Rams to 160 yards of total offense.
Tim Jennings had his fourth interception of the season. But the play of the game was a tipped pass thrown by Sam Bradford that safety Major Wright picked off and returned 45 yards for a Bears touchdown in the fourth quarter.
"I see it on the zone. That's what we always preach about," said Wright on the pick six. "You get the ball in your hands, you try to score. I definitely wanted to score."
Defensive end Israel Idonije led the sack parade with 2.5 sacks. The only highlight on offense was a four yard touchdown run by Michael Bush. Jay Cutler did not throw a touchdown pass. He was intercepted once.
Despite the lack of offense Lovie Smith was pleased with the win.
"This was a bounce back game for us," said Smith. "Something that we seem like we've been practicing forever. We need to come out strong. The defense really came out ready to play. Our defensive line has played outstanding ball all yaer, and they set the tone of the day."
The Bears next game will be next Monday night in Dallas.
