San Francisco, CA-Even Jay Cutler couldn't have saved the Bears on this night. While Cutler remained in Chicago recovering from a concussion the Bears were losing in San Francisco to the 49ers 32-7.
It was the Bears worst outing since their week two loss to the Packers. This one was much like that one. The offensive line couldn't keep the 49ers off of backup quarterback Jason Campbell. He was sacked five times. NFL sack leader Alson Smith had 4.5 sacks.
Campbell was also intercepted twice. He finished the night 14-22 passing for 107 yards. He did throw a touchdown pass to Brandon Marshall in the third quarter.
49ers backup quarterback Colin Kaepernick looked right at home in the pocket. He was 16-23 for 243 yards and two touchdowns.
The Bears trailed at halftime 20-0. They were never in the game.
They now have their first two game losing streak of the season, and they've fallen into a first place tied with the Packers at 7-3.
