Almost every bathroom in America now features a medicine cabinet. In the past, the typical medicine cabinet was a plain metal cabinet good for storing bathroom necessities, but now they are decorative, beautiful bathroom essentials. Although they are called medicine cabinets, they are used to store many different items. Medicine cabinets come in a wide variety of types, sizes and styles to fit any home.

Corner Medicine Cabinet
The corner medicine cabinet is an ideal cabinet for small bathrooms with limited space. Some models of this type of cabinet come in traditional styles but most are contemporary in style and design. Homeowners can get them with or without mirrors, and if they choose the type with mirrors, they can get them with mirrors in the front, sides or both. This type of cabinet will not offer as much storage as other styles of medicine cabinets, but if the homeowner has limited space anyway, this cabinet will give them more storage than they have now.

Wall Medicine Cabinet
This type of medicine cabinet mounts to the wall of the bathroom just like the traditional ones, but that is the only similarity between the old and new medicine cabinets. Modern wall-mounted medicine cabinets offer many amenities that the old type did not. For one, they are made from many materials and come in a much wider variety of styles and sizes. They can come with lights inside as well as outside of the cabinet. This type of cabinet comes in about any shape a person could possibly desire. They can have traditional doors or sliding doors. Most wall-mounted medicine cabinets come with mirrors, but models are available without mirrors if that is what the homeowner desires.

Flush Medicine Cabinet
Flush-mounted medicine cabinets are fast becoming the most popular option for modern bathroom design. This type of cabinet is installed in the wall so that the edges of the cabinet are flush with the wall and then surrounded by a frame of molding. As with all the other types of medicine cabinets, flush-mounted cabinets come in many shapes, sizes and styles. The reason these cabinets are so popular is that they look great and are almost unnoticed, making your bathroom look larger.

Anti-Fog Medicine Cabinet
The anti-fog feature is available in many types of medicine cabinets and keeps the mirror clear at all times. This is a great invention for those who love to steam up the bathroom with hot showers, and not have to wipe that steam off of their mirror afterwards.
