The county clerk spent the morning checking ballot machines. Workers started the task yesterday and found a few bugs. Some machines weren't programmed right. They didn't recognize the ballots, so they weren't counting any votes.
Each county usually checks only some of its machines before an election, but Champaign County says it runs a test of all its gear for this very reason. The bugs have all been fixed.
The clerk says remember to head to the polls March 20.
