MoDOT Reminder: Don't Put Political Signs in Right-of-Way

That's why the Missouri Department of Transportation is once again asking the public to keep state-owned right-of-ways clear of political and other yard signs.
MoDOT says putting signs on right-of-ways can create a safety concern for drivers by blocking visibility, and can also make it difficult to mow or maintain that area.
It's also dangerous for residents putting them up because they have to walk near traffic.
MoDOT says when it can, it will try to contact the sign owner before taking it down. But if it's removed, a sign will be held for 30 days and can be picked up at your local MoDOT maintanence facility.
