With the polls offically closed and the votes tallyed Republican Sean Hanna won the 130th Assembly seat.
During his campaign Hanna said “We have huge problems facing New York. They include oppressive taxes, stifling regulation, and a Democrat controlled state government that seems determined to drive every single business out of New York,”
Hanna was a former regional director for the DEC and county legislator.
UPDATE 12:05am 11-3-10
Sean Hanna is in the lead as the polls close on Election day 2010. He holds a 16% lead over opponent David Nachbar.
A new State Assembly member will emerge in the 130th district on Election Day. Republican Assemblyman Joe Errigo is not seeking re-election this year. His departure leaves a battle between David Nachbar and Sean Hanna.
David Nachbar is former senior vice president of human resources for Bausch and Lomb. His aim is to ease the New Yorkers of their tax burdens and establish a cap on future increases.
His opponent, Republican Sean Hanna, is a former Monroe County Legislator. Hanna has more political experience but maintains he's no career politician.
