Fomer President Bill Clinton Campaigns For Slaughter, Hochul

It doesn't get much bigger than former President Bill Clinton when it comes to political star power.

Clinton had the Main Street Armory in downtown Rochester rocking. He was in town endorsing Democratic congressional candidates Kathy Hochul and Louise Slaughter. The candidates were thrilled.

"It feels like the Buffalo Bills winning the super bowl," Hochul said to a crowd of cheering participants.

Clinton rattled off issues that he says Democrats will fight for: including equal pay for women, tax cuts and Medicare.

"The health care bill gives people all over america, insures, the incentive, to pay people for performance not for procedures and we can finally bring health care costs in line with inflation so we can compete, hire more people, invest in new technology, and yes, give people a pay raise," Clinton said.

Clinton wrapped up with an energizing message for true believers.

"We got two weeks left in this election and there's plenty of people who were not in this beautiful armory today and you need to make it your business every day to talk to as many of those people as you can to make sure they understand and make sure they vote," Clinton said.
