(Erie, PA, March 8th)     When you do head to the polls in Pennsylvania, young or old, you're likely going to have to show a Valid photo ID in order to vote.
Wednesday, House Bill 934, or the "Voter ID Bill" was approved by the State Senate by a vote of 26-23
Those who voted against the bill, including PA's 49th District Senator Jane Earll, say this initiative to fight voter fraud will prevent thousands of Pennsylvanians from voting.
A news release pointed out that the elderly or people with disabilities who don't have a state-issued photo ID may be deterred or be at a disadvantage to vote.
This bill does provide a provision which would allow citizens to vote without an ID as long as they present one within 6 days after casting the vote.
This will now go back to the PA House for a final vote.
