League of Women Voters Creates New Online Voters Guide

By: Karl Wehmhoener
Updated: May 4, 2012
AMARILLO -- The League of Women Voters is introducing a new online Voters Guide for the upcoming primary election.  It will be available at VOTE411.org, a website originally developed by the national LWV.

Interested voters may go to www.vote411.org, then establish a login by entering their name and address, including their zip code.  Next, they will go to build my  ballot.

Voters should then be able to see the state, regional and local races related to their address and be able to read each candidates responses to questions asked about their qualifications and positions on issues.

"The Amarillo League is hoping to make voter information more widely available by offering all citizens the opportunity to familiarize themselves with electoral choices in the May 29 primary prior to going to the polls," said Linda Eichblatt, local Voters Guide chair.
