Washington Senate Race Still Too Close To Call

By: Jerry Walsh
Updated: November 3, 2010

(Seattle, WA)  --  Washington Senator Patty Murray appears to be holding on to a slim one-percent lead as votes from yesterday's election are counted.   Her opponent is Republican Dino Rossi.

In a speech last night to supporters, Murray said she's confident she'll win.

Rossi told his supporters that there are still votes to count, and quote, "we're all going to have to wait a little longer."  If the vote remains close, the early results would force an extended count of the state's mail-in votes.

Mail-in ballot tallies can take several days to finish.
